What Are Kegel Exercises

Kegel exercises involve controlled contraction and release of the muscles at the base of the pelvis. They are done to strengthen the muscles of the pelvic floor to improve urethral and rectal function. They also strengthen the muscles which support the bladder. Doing the exercises correctly and regularly can strengthen these muscles.

Kegel exercises aim to correct an underlying cause of urinary incontinence: weakened pelvic floor muscles that can occur with certain medical conditions in some people.

 

Kegel For Men

Kegel exercises are recommended for a variety of purposes and are usually the first line of a management program to treat stress or urge urinary incontinence. These can help men learn greater ejaculatory control and enhance sexual enjoyment by changing the way an orgasm is experienced. The Kegel exercise has been shown to have vast improvements on the penis.

Weakening of the pelvis can also lead to orgasm problems. Men can try to contract the PC muscle to assist with the erection if they feel their erection is not hard enough. If done on regular basis on long term, this exercise will make the muscle develop more testosterone, dihydrotestosterone DHT , and oxytocin receptors. How to Do the Exercises

This exercise should be done for five minutes twice a day. To find the muscle you need to exercise, you can try different things. While urinating, try holding your urine for a short while. The muscles that are engaged in doing this, are the muscles that you need to exercise. The best way to do this is with an erect penis. When you squeeze your pelvic muscles, you will see your penis move upward. If you can master this exercise, you will be able to enjoy more sex.

Some therapists place a sensor in the anus in men to monitor the contraction of pelvic floor muscles. Experiment with how long you can comfortably hold a squeeze. In fact, most men can master this exercise after just after a couple of days.

3. Drink Lots of Water – this will (only initially) make you want to go to the toilet more, so don’t let your bladder get too full. Urinate when you feel you need to and take your time.

4. Don’t Smoke – you’ve never needed a really good reason, how about stopping yourself dribbling in your pants in public?

5. Be careful with the amount of Red Meat and Dairy Products in your diet – diet affects your prostate far more than what you realize, and is that steak really worth not being able to have a satisfying relationship with your partner?

6. Increase Your Intake of Antioxidants – For best results take a high quality multi-vitamin and antioxidant combined as the together they produce have a far greater effect than just taking Vitamin C for instance. Don’t just buy any old bottle off the supermarket shelf. You can boost your antioxidant intake even further by any fruit or vegetable that has a bright color, this means it is high in anti-oxidants.

7. Start an Exercise Program – research has shown exercise reduces the hormones that stimulate prostate problems, and even prostate cancer, the Kegel exercise, walking and cycling are all great exercises to do as the stimulate blood flow to the groin area.

8. Cook your food by Steaming, Baking and Boiling – this will automatically cut down on your intake of bad, saturated fats and the amount of fried food you eat, as a man it's hard to cut this food group down, we love it. But at the end of the day, what's worth more?
